The other reviewers are correct. This is a scam site and I feel stupid for falling for it! I found it listed on another site as one of the top 4 best background search sites. I paid $39.95 for NOTHING. It gives you names, approximate ages and last known cities of residence - everything you can find for free on other sites. If you want more info, you are charged $2.95 for each separate search and then a monthly fee on top of that. I emailed them and told them it was a scam and they responded with directions on how to use their site - totalling ignoring my question as to the extra charges. I ended up finding out most of the information for FREE through my own State. Most of the information IS already public knowledge, so keep searching on your own through your own local state and county records.

In summary, I would not recommend Gov Registry to a friend.

Very misleading site. Tells you that you get membership to their service and then once you pay it asks for a monthly fee which it never initially mentioned. I basically got nothing for $39.95. They just took my money and when I sent an email to them they provided no help. There is no phone number either.

In summary, I would not recommend Gov Registry to a friend.

Charges $29.92 for a 2 year membership that's supposed allow you to find criminal records but all it does is give you a name, address, age and phone #. Then it asks you for more money on the promise of more info.

Avoid this scam!!!!!!!!!

The ONLY reason that I scored gov.registry.com with ANY stars is that this rating site will not accept my review unless I select at least one star. If a negative star rating were available (such as: -10), I would have used that one. will double charge your credit card.

I was fraudulently charged $24. 92(twenty-four dollars and ninety-two cents) OVER the $19.95 Trial offer charge.

DON'T USE THIS SITE!

In summary, I would not recommend Gov Registry to a friend.

Not what it reports to be. For $19.95 they gave me information that is available for free on several other web sites, and when I tried to access the information they had promised for that payment, they asked for an additional $26.95.
I could not reach anyone at the site and received no answers to my emails. I tried to stop the charge but Bank of America could not do it,(they are another problem).

In summary, I would not recommend Gov Registry to a friend.
