As you can see by ALL of the other reviews dealing with this company is a nightmare. I received an offer for a great position that I had been waiting for, for months! HireRight is the company that they used to do the background check.

First of all they were unable to contact/reach any of my last employers including a worldwide well known staffing agency. What was so crazy was the company that they were doing the background check for was the SAME company that had hired me previously through that staffing company. Yet and still they were unable to reach them to verify dates. So I had to provide a W-2's for them and two other companies that they "could not" reach. Thank God I kept all of those w-2's or I would have lost out on the position. They also falsely claimed they called one of my educational institutes I attended in the report and that they asked me for documentation and I refused. Which was a complete lie.

Thankfully since I did have proof of past employment by providing W-2's I successfully passed their: 'I- did-all-the-work-for-them background process' or they would have threw me under the bus... (Read the full review)

I work as a Sr. Recruiter for a company that hires ~150 candidates per year. For the most part, things run smoothly and we get the results back on each background within days. The problem comes in when you need to actually work with their customer service department. Every time I've either called in or used their live chat feature, the message I get loud and clear is "we just don't care, and we'll get to it when we can". We work with many clients who dictate what we check for on the candidates who would be working directly with them, and they are often outside of the standard. I called HireRight the first time to find out if they offered the services requested and let them know that we had a major deal riding on getting this information back quickly and there was a high sense of urgency here. Three weeks later, and after incessant follow-ups, they finally get me the answer. It was incomplete, but at that point, it was too late anyway.
