Editor's Review:

BackgroundReport360 has undergone significant changes lately. Whilst it was once simply a list of links to other background search sites, you can now perform checks and request in depth background reports.

You can search for a person using their name and – if you know it – the US state they reside in. A full background report costs just under $30 and includes a wide range of information, including criminal records, contact details, marriage and birth records, property information and more.

A full background report potentially provides several ways to contact a person, whether they’re a long lost friend or someone you want to locate for other reasons. However, the site offers no variations on the reports offered. Either you get a full report, or nothing.

We don’t want to mislead you, there is another option, of sorts, available: you can pay for annual membership. This is really very cheap at under $10, and allows you to perform unlimited report searches. However, the information you can gather using this membership is quite limited. You can perform people searches, reverse phone, reverse IP and reverse address searches (if you’re receiving correspondence from an unknown source), relative searches, business searches, census searches and property searches during your membership period. This information has limited uses, so we’re not convinced it offers great value for money.

Searching is, however, quick and easy. You can read customer approvals or view sample reports, but there’s little else to do. There’s almost no information around the site on how to find information, or how it might be used (or misused) other than a “legal” link, which is essentially just a list of terms of service and sale.

The services are limited to the US, and whilst this isn’t uncommon for background check websites, we do feel that the variety of services is restrictive. You can find similar background checks elsewhere, for less money. You can also request specific information, rather than having just a little feedback on each of the areas specified by Background Report 360.

If you have a lot of basic searches to perform, we recommend the unlimited  membership on offer here. It’s very cheap, and could offer good value if you really do only want some basic data. However, if you want in depth reports at a decent price, we generally feel that you’d be better off using another background check website.
